Women left shaken after targeted house robbery in Lanarkshire

OFFICERS believe a house robbery in Lanarkshire that left two women badly shaken was targeted.

Three men wearing disposable face masks forced their way into the house on Glebe Hollow in Bothwell around 5.30pm yesterday. They threatened the females, aged 49 and 59.

They ransacked through the house and stole a three-figure sum of cash before fleeing in a grey/silver coloured Audi A3 saloon.

Detective Constable Ruth Whyte, of Cambuslang CID, said: "The occupants of the house are understandably shaken but were not seriously injured during the incident.

"We have carried out door to door and CCTV enquiries and are now appealing for the public's help.

"I would ask anyone who knows anything about this incident, saw a vehicle matching the description or people acting suspiciously around the area to contact us "
