Woman with baby sexually assaulted in Nitshill

A young woman's been sexually assaulted in Nitshill while pushing her baby in a pram.

The 22 year old was on Corselet Road near Langford Drive yesterday afternoon when she was approached by a man who made inappropriate comments and grabbed her.

She stumbled but managed to get away and the man ran off towards the lane leading to Langford Drive in Nitshill.

The suspect is described as being Asian in appearance, aged 20 to 30 years, of slim build, stubble and had a local accent. He was wearing a khaki raincoat with the hood up, light grey jogging bottoms and white trainers.

Detective Inspector Mark McLennan, Public Protection Unit, Helen Street Police Station, Govan, said: "Although thankfully not physically injured, this was very distressing for the lady involved and particularly frightening as she was with her young son at the time.

"Officers are currently speaking to residents in the area and checking CCTV in an effort the trace this man. Corselet Road is residential and it’s possible that someone may have either seen or heard the attack take place.
