Woman admits strangling dog in Glasgow flat

A woman has pleaded guilty to strangling a dog in her Glasgow flat.

Kerry Lang, 24, admitted causing the Pomeranian unnecessary suffering in the Langside area on September 11, 2021.

Court papers state that Lang knew or ought to have known that the act on the dog - now deceased - would have caused the suffering.

The charge says Lang "did asphyxiate said dog by way of strangulation."

Lang pleaded guilty on Tuesday to the single charge at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

Sentence was deferred pending background reports until next month.

Further information regarding the facts will also be heard.

Lang had her bail continued meantime by sheriff Gerard Bonnar.
