A woman's escaped without injuries after what police say was a "terrifying" robbery on the street in Glasgow
Officers say the 59 year old was approached by a man in a hi-vis vest yesterday afternoon
Officers are appealing for information following a robbery near to Glasgow Club Gym on Gairbraid Avenue.
The incident took place around 2.55pm on Friday, 25 November when a 59-year-old woman was approached by a man who then demanded her handbag and forcefully removed it before making off on foot along Gairbraid Avenue, and right on the Maryhill Road.
The man is described as white, about 20-30-years-old, speaking with an English accent, medium build, about 5ft 7 in or 8in tall and clean shaven.
He was wearing dark trousers and other dark clothing underneath a hi-vis vest.
Constable Natalie Davner from Govan Police Station said: “This has been a terrifying experience for the victim and thankfully no one was seriously hurt in the incident.
“I’m appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone who has information relating to this incident to make contact with the police.
