Woman rescued from icy canal in Anniesland

A woman's in hospital after being rescued from an icy canal in Glasgow. Crews were called to a spot near Howth Drive in Anniesland at 9 o clock this morning.

A Police Scotland spokesman said:" Around 9.05am on Tuesday, 13 December, 2022, we were made aware of a woman was in the canal at Howth Drive, Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended and a 21-year-old woman was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”

Her condition isn't known.
