Woman in hospital after being hit by car near busy Glasgow roundabout

A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car on Barrhead Road, near the Auldhouse Roundabout.

The woman was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and her condition is not yet known.

A police spokesperson said: "Around 5.40pm on Monday, 14 December, police were called to a report of a serious road crash involving a pedestrian and a car in Barrhead Road, Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and a woman was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

"Barrhead Road is currently closed between Boydstone Road and the Pollokshaws Roundabout.

"Enquiries are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 2484 of Monday, 14 December, 2020."
