Woman in hospital after assault in Ibrox
The 53-year-old was attacked on Sunday morning and is being treated for injuries to her face and upper body.
An investigation is underway after a woman was seriously injured in an assault in Glasgow.
The 53-year-old was taken to hospital after being attacked in Ibrox Street at about 9am on Sunday.
The victim is in a serious but stable condition at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where she is being treated for injuries to her face and upper body.
The suspect is described as white, around 5ft 8in and stocky with receding brown hair. He was wearing a green anorak and grey jogging trousers.
Police Scotland Detective Constable Kris Elliott of Govan Police Office said: “Enquiries are at an early stage into this incident and at this time, I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this assault take place, or who has any information that may assist the police investigation to contact Govan Police Office.
