Woman in court after death in Coatbridge

A woman has been charged with murder in connection with a death in North Lanarkshire.

The body of Catherine Ann Campbell, 39, was discovered when police were called to a disturbance at Renfrew Place in Coatbridge at 5.25am on Saturday.

A 28-year-old who was arrested in connection with the incident appeared at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Monday.

Josephine Carroll, from Glasgow, was charged with murder.

She made no plea and was remanded in custody.
