Woman hospitalised after M8 motorbike crash

A woman has been hospitalised after a serious crash in Paisley.

The 34 year old was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following the one vehicle incident involving her white Yamaha motorcycle.

The incident happened at 9:25am this morning on the M8 near junction 28A.

The road was closed for an hour before reopening.

Police are appealing for witnesses

Glasgow Road Policing Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: “I am appealing for anyone with information regarding this incident to contact us.

“I would ask any motorists particularly with dash cams who were in and around that area to check the footage as it may have captured images that could assist in our investigation.

“We are also keen to speak to anyone who stopped to assist the woman but who has not yet spoken to police.”
