Woman's handbag snatched in Shettleston
An investigation's underway after a 63 year old was robbed in Glasgow in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Detectives are appealing for information following a robbery in the Shettleston area of Glasgow in the early hours of Sunday 9 October 2016.
Around 00:15am a 60 year old man and his 63 year old wife were making their way home from a night out at the Strathspey Bar. When they were on Easterhill Street, at the junction with Corbett Street, a man ran towards them, pushed the woman towards her husband and grabbed her handbag.
The suspect then ran off along Easterhill Place and up Tollcross Road, passing Bells Bar and the Waverley Bar.
He is described as white, between 25 and 30 years old, 5ft10, with a gaunt appearance and shaved red or brown hair. He was wearing a light blue puffa jacket, knee-length shorts and black Nike huarache trainers.
Detective Constable David Henry said: “Extensive enquiries are underway to trace the person responsible for this callous attack on a couple who had been making their way home from a night out.
“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident, or saw a man matching the description in the Shettleston area just after midnight on Sunday, to get in touch.
