Woman dies following disturbance in Glasgow city centre

A woman has died after being found seriously injured following a disturbance in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to St Mungo Avenue in the city centre at around 12.55pm on Tuesday.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 12.55pm on Tuesday, 29 October, to a report of a disturbance in the St Mungo Avenue area of Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended and a woman was found seriously injured. She was pronounced dead a short time later.

“Officers remain at the scene.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
