Woman Critical After Sledging Accident In Glasgow

A woman is in a critical condition in hospital after a sledging accident in Glasgow's Kelvingrove Park. Emergency services were called to Kelvin Way at around 3.30pm yesterday afternoon. An ambulance spokesman told Clyde News the accident happened near the Monument in the park. The female casualty was taken to the Western Infirmary and transferred to the city's Southern General Hospital last night at around 6.00pm. It's understood the woman's family are by her bed side as she fights for her life. Its the second serious sledging accident in Glasgow and the West over the weekend. A 9 year old boy was airlifted to hospital after being injured near a fam near Fenwick. An ambulance crew arrived at the scene and requested a helicopter to take the child to hospital shortly before 3pm on Sunday.
