Woman Charged With Murder After Discovery of Human Remains
A woman has been arrested and charged after the discovery of human remains at a property in Montrose which have now been identified.
Officers made the find on Wednesday night at a home in the Market Street area of the Angus town, having gone to the property as part of a missing person inquiry.
The remains have been identified as local 37-year-old Kim MacKenzie, Police Scotland confirmed.
A 39-year-old man was charged with murder by police on Friday and a 28-year-old woman was also detained.
The woman has now been charged in relation to murder, police said.
They are both due to appear at Forfar Sheriff Court on Monday.
The force said in a statement: "The family of Kim MacKenzie have been updated with these latest developments and are being supported by police family liaison officers.
"Officers have appealed to anyone who saw Kim between Monday, October 26, 2015, and Wednesday November 4, or who has any information that may assist the investigation to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.''
