Woman Attacked By 4 Men In Irvine
Police appeal after incident two weeks ago
Police are hunting four men after it emerged a 22 year old woman was seriously assaulted in Irvine earlier this month. It happened in a lane leading from High Street to the car park at East Road on Sunday 10 May at around 0105. The woman suffered serious facial injuries and was treated at Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock. Officers have issued a description of four men the want to speak to in connection with the incident. The first man is described at 5ft11, late twenties, thin, with short dark wavy hair and thick dark stubble. He has a sleeve style tattoo from his left elbow to halfway down his forearm and was wearing a long sleeved dark blue hooded top with the sleeves rolled up and dark trousers. The second man is described as 5ft11, late twenties, thin, with short blond hair at the sides which is longer on top and styled with gel. He was wearing a dark hooded top and dark trousers. The third man is described as 5ft11, late twenties, thin with short sandy coloured hair. The fourth man was described as in his late twenties with light coloured hair. Detective Constable Keith Runcie from North Ayrshire CID said: “This was a violent and terrifying assault on a young woman which left her badly shaken and requiring surgery. “It is very important that we trace these men as quickly as possible to assist with our investigation. “Anyone with information is asked to contact police via the non-emergency number 101.
