Woman arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder in east end of Glasgow

A 30-year old women's been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder in the east end of Glasgow.

It happened last night at around 8.55pm when a 34-year old woman was deliberately driven at on Stronsay Street in Germiston.

She was taken to hospital where she remains in a serious condition - the 30 year old woman is due in Glasgow Sheriff Court tomorrow.

Detective Inspector Graham McCreadie of Maryhill Police Station said: "Around 8.55pm on Tuesday, 23 February, officers were called to a report of a 34 year-old woman deliberately driven at in Stronsay Street, Glasgow.

"The injured woman was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where she is being treated for her injuries. Hospital staff describe her condition as serious.

"A 30 year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with this attempted murder. She is due before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, 25 February. A full report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal."
