A woman has been arrested in connection with an investigation into A Milne Funeral Directors in Glasgow.

The firm, which operated in Springburn and Dumbarton, is at the centre of investigations into alleged missing ashes and financial misconduct.

The police investigation, named Operation Koine, was launched after families reported the parlour.

Officers searched two homes in Springburn and Bishopbriggs on Monday, 22 July, 2024.

One woman, aged 55, was arrested in connection and then released - pending further enquiry.

Several items which officers say are "relevant to the enquiry" have been seized and the investigation is ongoing.

Detective Sergeant Kieran Bewick said: “This is a very complex investigation which has had a big impact on those families affected.

“I would like to thank the public for their assistance so far.

"Our enquiries into this sensitive and emotive case remain ongoing and I would encourage anyone with any information on this case to contact us.
