A woman who featured in BBC show The Scheme is denying committing a is a Covid-19 related assault at a Glasgow police station.

Kerry Tomlin, 37, is accused of grabbing a mask from the face of police support officer Michelle Fletcher at the office in Cathcart in April this year.

Prosecutors claim Tomlin, of Prestwick, Ayrshire, said: "I hope she got my saliva on her face."

It is alleged that could have left Miss Fletcher liable to infection and illness.

Tomlin is said to have then attempted to bite Miss Fletcher on the hand.

She is also accused of assaulting another force support worker Siobhan Burns.

Tomlin is claimed to have struggled violently with her and seized hold of her wrist.

The offences allegedly took place while Tomlin was on bail from a separate matter at Ayr Sheriff Court in January.

Tomlin pled not guilty on Wednesday from the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court

A new hearing date was set for August this year by Sheriff Brian Murphy.
