Witness appeal after man seriously assaulted in Glasgow

A man has suffered a serious facial injury after being hit on the head in Glasgow.

The 28-year-old was assaulted on Albert Avenue at its junction with Maybank Street around 6:30pm on Thursday March 24.

He needed hospital treatment.

The suspect is described as Asian, around 5ft6/7, of slim build, and between 20 and 30 years old.

He had dark hair, and a trimmed beard.

He was wearing a dark coloured hoodie which had a shiny effect, black trousers and red, black and white Fila trainers.

Detective Constable Mark McCall from Cathcart Police Office said: “This has been a terrifying attack in broad daylight leaving a man requiring hospital treatment.

“We are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or thinks they saw the suspect in the area at the time to get in touch.

“Similarly, we are keen to speak to anyone who has dash cam footage from the area around the time of the incident on Thursday to come forward.”
