Witness appeal after man attacked and stabbed by two men at Blantyre railway station
The victim needed hospital treatment, but his injury wasn't life-threatening
A man’s been stabbed during an attack by two men at Blantyre railway station.
It happed at 1.12am on Sunday, in the station’s car park.
The victim, who’s in his 50s, was attacked by the pair following an altercation in nearby Station Road.
The attackers were part of a bigger group, and following the attack they ran back towards Station Road.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment. His injury was not life-threatening, and he has since been released.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who knows the two men, or who knows anyone who was in the group.
Those in the group are described as:
• A man, white, between 5ft 10 and 6ft, aged between 20 and 40 years old, of a stocky build and with dark hair. He was wearing a khaki jacket with a patch on the left sleeve, blue jeans and white trainers.
• A man, white, between 5ft 8 and 5ft 10, aged between 20 and 40 years old, with short dark hair and of slim build. He was wearing a dark jacket with a large white patch on the shoulder area of each sleeve. He was also wearing light blue jeans and white trainers.
• A man, white, between 5ft 8 and 5ft 10, of a heavy build, and wearing a dark coloured hooded tracksuit top with a white stripe down each sleeve. He was also wearing dark shorts, black socks and white trainers.
• A woman, white, aged between 18 and 25 years old, of slim build, and with short dark hair tied into a bun. She was wearing a black jacket, light-coloured trousers and white trainers.
• A woman, white, aged between 18 and 25 years old, of a heavy build, and with short dark hair tied up. She was wearing a black jacket with a fur lined hood, blue jeans and dark shoes.
