Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a serious assault in Cumbernauld yesterday.
Around 6.30pm a 25 year old man was sitting on the steps behind The Jack Snipe Bar in Glenacre Road when he was approached by two men, who were not known to him.
The men engaged him in conversation and when he got up to leave one of the men slashed him across the face with a bladed object.
