Police seal off busy road in the west end of Glasgow

Emergency services were called out this morning

Queen Margaret Drive in the west end of Glasgow has been sealed off by police because of concerns for a person.

Emergency services were called at 10:10 on Monday morning and stopped traffic approaching a bridge over the River Kelvin.

Scottish Fire and Rescue officers have also arrived on scene and unloaded an inflatable rescue boat from a van.

A statement from Police Scotland said: "Officers are currently in attendance in Queen Margaret Drive, Glasgow after reports of a concern for a person. The road is currently closed."
