Man and woman injured following assault in Troon

A man and woman have been taken to hospital following an assault in Ayrshire.

Police were called to a property on North Shore Road in Troon at around 8.35pm last night.

A 49-year old woman and a 56-year old man were both taken to University Hospital Ayr where they received treatment.

Police say inquiries into the incident are ongoing, but they're following a positive line of inquiry.
