London's Victims Commissioner has called for a Scottish counterpart to be appointed.

That's something two grieving Scottish parents have been calling for.

Lynne Burns lost her son Sam in a stabbing in Saltcoats five years ago and Kevin Woodburn's son Shaun was killed outside a Leith pub nearly two years ago.

We brought them together for the first time recently to share their story.

Both believe it would help protect the rights of victims and their loved ones throughout the country.

Yesterday Kevin Woodburn met with the Justice Secretary Humza Yousaf who agreed not to rule the idea out.

Today Claire Waxman is backing their calls and says she believes Scotland would hugely benefit from the introduction of a Victims Commissioner.
