A new video uploaded to YouTube this week, shows why Glasgow has earned it's nickname as Dear Green Place.

The short compilation, filmed by an Air 4K drone, begins at Pacific Quay with views of The Clyde Auditorium, Glasgow Science Centre and the SSE Hydro.

Other highlights include Kelvingrove Museum and the city centre.

The creator of the video, Stuart Hatch, told us: "I've only had the Drone for a month and I've only recently completed my BNUC course to allow me to fly the drone commercially."

And Stuart revealed that he wasn't expecting such a great reaction.

He said: "The filming took place over the last 2 weeks mainly as a test of a new drone that I purchased.

"I didn't expect the video to get such a large reception, had I have known that I'd of spent more than my lunch break at work editing it."

The video, which was uploaded to YouTube on Monday, has already been viewed more than 7000 times.

And the good news for fans of drone videos is that Stuart will be uploading more videos in the coming months, adding: "I've got plans to do more videos around Scotland which will be much better."
