Poignant messages left near where the father-of-five from Dennistoun's body was discovered at Mugdock Park
The family of Dennistoun man John Murphy whose body was discovered last month nearly a year after he was reported missing have gathered for his funeral.
A mass took place this morning at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Dennistoun and he was cremated at Maryhill Crematorium.
The father-of-five's disappearance last May sparked a major search operation.
His son, John Junior, travelled across the UK trying to locate his dad after there were possible sightings of him.
In March human remains were found in Mugdock Country Park and the families of missing persons were contacted.
Earlier this month police confirmed the body found was that of John.
Officers say there are no suspicious circumstances.
