Elaine Hopley is taking part in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge for Alzheimer's Scotland in memory of her mother

A Dunblane woman's preparing for an epic 3,000 mile solo row across the Atlantic for Alzheimer's.

Elaine Hopley is doing the challenge in memory of her late mother Janice who she cared for throughout her 16 year battle with dementia.

The 44 year old recently set a new world record for continously rowing 27 hours is a champion mountain biker and has cycled Lands End to John O'Groats.
