Unions Protest At NHS Lanarkshire's Privatisation Plans

Unions are hitting out at NHS Lanarkshire's decision to continue privatising hospital contracts for cleaning, catering and porter services. The health board has approved outsourcing the work at Hairmyres and Wishaw General to two private firms arguing it will save over ÂŁ800K a year and free up nurses to look after patients.
