Several tickets for Euro 2020 fan zone in Glasgow cancelled following 'operational error'
Tickets went on sale on Tuesday morning and were due to launch at 10am, but an issue with the 'go live' time meant some fans got hold of tickets prior to official release.
Tickets which were sold prematurely for the Euro 2020 fan zone in Glasgow have been cancelled.
Tickets went on sale on Tuesday morning and were due to launch at 10am, but an issue with the 'go live' time meant some fans got hold of tickets prior to official release.
A statement released on the Glasgow UEFA Euro 2020 social media pages says: "Due to an operational error, people were able to book tickets prior to 10:00hrs.
"Glasgow Life unreservedly apologies for the disappointment caused to fans who waited until the advertised launch time and subsequently missed out.
"In the interest of fairness, we have decided to cancel all tickets purchased prior to 10:00hrs and relaunch the process at 10:00hrs Tuesday 1 June 2021.
"Whilst we understand that this will leave people who have obtained tickets in good faith disappointed, we feel this is the only fair course of action.
"All other tickets purchased from 10:00hrs on 25 May will be honoured."
