Uddingston Main Street closed following attack
Main Street in Uddingston is closed with huge traffic jams following reports a person was attacked earlier this afternoon.
A large stretch of Uddingston Main Street is closed off following reports a person was attacked in a nearby property.
Police and ambulance are on the scene, with a cordon in place around a row of shops. They were called at around 2pm.
Police say a 43 year-old man has been taken to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Main Street, Uddingston at around 2pm on Thursday, 3 March, 2022, following reports that a 43-year-old man had been assaulted.
"He has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and enquiries are ongoing."
