The bodies of two women have been found in a property in Glasgow.

They were discovered in Dalserf Court in the Gallowgate around midday on Sunday.

Their deaths are currently being treated as unexplained, but are not at this time thought to be suspicious.

One line of enquiry is their deaths may be related to carbon monoxide poisoning, although this has still to be confirmed.

As a precaution, residents from a number of flats nearby have been evacuated.

A post mortem will be carried out to establish the cause of death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Police enquiries are continuing.
