Two Rangers fans have been fined £1,200 each and given football banning orders for their part in the pitch invasion after last year's Scottish Cup final.

James Reston, 31, and Nicholas Robertson, 47, each ran on to the pitch at Hampden Park last May 21 after the game that saw Hibs win 3-2.

They appeared on separate charges at Glasgow Sheriff Court after pleading guilty to offences contrary to the Offensive Behaviour at Football Act.

Reston, from Greenfield in Glasgow’s east end was given a four year football banning order by sheriff Lindsay Wood and fined.

He ran onto the pitch with fists clenched and challenging others to a fight.

He was caught on camera making a kicking motion but the other person was off camera, he then ran into the Rangers end.

Robertson, from Kirkcaldy, Fife also admitted an assault charge and was given a 30 month banning order with his fine.

CCTV footage captured him on the pitch and getting involved in a disturbance.

A Hibs fan carrying a flag fell and Robertson kicked him three times on the torso, he also gesticulated and challenged others to a fit then left the pitch.
