Two people killed and three others in hospital after Argyll crash

It involved a red Audi Q2 and a grey Ford Mondeo.

Two people have been killed and three others remain in hospital in Glasgow following a crash in Argyll yesterday afternoon.

It happened around 2pm on the A85 at Dalmally and involved a red Audi Q2 and a grey Ford Mondeo.

Emergency services pronounced the female driver (69) and the male passenger (70) of the Audi dead at the scene

The three men in the Ford Mondeo were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

The road was closed for around 8 ½ hours to allow for investigations to be carried out.

Sergeant Archie McGuire said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the two people who have died.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the crash to contact us.

“I would also appeal to anyone who was travelling in the area and may have dash cam footage which could assist to get in touch.”
