Two people in hospital following Paisley crash

A 28 year old man and a 43 year old woman are being treated in hospital following a crash in Paisley.

Police were called to Arkleston Road just before 5pm yesterday after a royal blue VW Beetle crashed into a post at the entrance to the Arkleston Cemetery.

Three people were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

A 39 year old woman was released following treatment and a38 year old man, was uninjured.

Officers are also reviewing CCTV footage for any information which could assist in ascertaining the circumstances of the crash.

A police spokesperson said: “Enquiries are underway to establish the exact circumstances of the collision and Road Policing Officers are appealing for anyone who may have any information or who may have witnessed the incident to contact them at Greenock Police Station via 101.”
