Two people escape injury after object shatters windscreen on M9
A driver and passenger narrowly escaped injury after their car windscreen was shattered by an object thrown from a bridge.
They were showered with glass but not hurt in the incident in the Stenhousemuir area.
The Vauxhall Astra car was travelling towards Grangemouth on the M9 when it was hit by the object as it drove under the Moss Road Overbridge.
Police in Forth Valley are appealing for information following the incident at around 7.45pm on Friday September 29.
Constable Ray Crossan said: Whoever was responsible for this serious and reckless act could have caused serious injury to the persons within the vehicle below and other motorists and we are keen to hear from anyone who can help us identify those responsible.
At this time we do not know what the object was that was thrown from the bridge and so anyone who can provide us with information relevant to our ongoing inquiries is asked to contact police immediately.''
The driver was able to pull over following the incident.
