Two more prisoners die of suspected coronavirus in Scotland

It takes the total number of covid-19 linked deaths to four - a senior officer also lost their life this week

Two more prisoners have died of suspected coronavirus in Scotland.

The men were inmates at HMP Dumfries and Low Moss.

It takes the total number of covid linked deaths to four - one senior officer also lost their life this week.

Gordon Pinkerton, 75, was a prisoner at HMP Dumfries. He was convicted at Glasgow High Court in 2013.

John Dargacz, 54, was a prisoner at HMP Low Moss. He was convicted at Falkirk Sherriff Court in 2019.

Both deaths have been reported to the Procurator Fiscal and a Fatal Accident Inquiry will take place in due course.
