A police probe’s been launched after two men were spotted breaking in to a restaurant in Paisley.

The duo let themselves into the Frankie and Benny’s in Abbotsinch Retail Park on Monday and stole a quantity of alcohol.

They then made off through the retail park, scaling a fence into an unused cycle track before heading in the direction of Paisley Town Centre.

The two men are described as wearing light hooded tops, dark jogging bottoms and both were carrying JD Sports drawstring bags, one black and the other white. Both men were wearing gloves and one may have been wearing Nike Airmax 95 style trainers.

Detective Constable Raymond Brownlow from Paisley CID said: “At the time of this incident the roads and surrounding area would have been quiet and the two men involved may have stuck out.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have seen them or anything else suspicious in the early hours of Monday morning to please get in touch.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at Paisley CID via 101 or alternatively you can call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.”
