Two men seriously assaulted by gang in attacks in South Lanarkshire
Two men needed hospital treatment after being seriously assaulted by a gang in South Lanarkshire.The first attack happened in Tiree Way, Cambuslang, when a 40-year-old man was assaulted by a group of men at 7.30pm on Sunday night.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Hairmyres Hospital where he was treated for his injuries before being released. In a separate, unrelated, attack later on Sunday, a 32-year-old was walking on a footpath at Ross Place, Rutherglen, at 9.45pm when he was approached by a group of men who attacked him.
He was taken by ambulance to Hairmyres Hospital in East Kilbride where he was treated for his injuries. He has since been released.
Police said the attackers were all wearing dark clothing.
