Two men charged in connection with discovery of £185000 worth of cannabis in Cambuslang

Two men have been arrested and charged following the discovery of a large cannabis in Cambuslang.

Officers searched the building on Glasgow Road which used to be occupied by a business at around 9.50am.

They drugs found were worth a street value of £185,000.

Two men, aged 21 and 29, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and are due to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 15 November, 2023.

Sergeant Graham Reid said: “This was a very significant recovery and sends a clear message that drugs have no place in our community and we will use every tool at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from our streets.

“This activity highlights our continued commitment to tackling this issue locally as well as the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
