Two men arrested as drugs and firearm recovered by police in Glasgow

Police in Glasgow have recovered more than £290,000 worth of drugs and a firearm from two locations in the city.

Officers executed a warrant at addresses in Lendel Place and on Bankhall street, seizing various Class A and B drugs, including cocaine and cannabis on Friday 28 June.

Two men, aged 19 and 34, have been arrested in connection with the incident, and both appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday July 1.

Detective Sergeant James Kydd said: “Police Scotland is committed to removing illegal substances from our communities and will take all measures to disrupt those involved.

"This arrest underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
