Two Injured as Masonry Falls on to Paisley Street
Two people have been taken to hospital after being injured by a piece of falling masonry.
A five-year-old girl was also treated for shock following the incident in Moss Street, Paisley.
Police were called to the area shortly after midday after receiving a report that masonry had fallen from a building above a shop.
A 30-year-old man and 49-year-old woman were taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment to their injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 12.15pm police were called to a report of a piece of masonry having fallen from a building above Greggs in Moss Street, Paisley.
"As a result, a 30-year-old man and 49-year-old woman were injured and a five-year-old girl was treated for shock.
"They were taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley. However staff say their injuries are not life-threatening.
"The road was closed and building control attended to assess the damage. Inquiries are continuing.''
