Two charged after £150K of cannabis seized in Port Glasgow

Two men, aged 32 and 36, have been arrested and charged in connection with drug offences in Port Glasgow.

Acting on intelligence received, officers stopped a vehicle on Markinch Road around 6.40pm on Wednesday, 5 July, 2023.

Cannabis with an estimated street value of £150,000 was recovered.

They are expected to appear at Court on Thursday 6th July 2023.

Detective Superintendent Craig Willison said: “This was a significant drugs recovery that has taken £150,000 worth of drugs out of our communities.

“Drugs cause misery in our communities and we are committed to disrupting their supply.

“This operation underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
