Two men charged after £41,000 drugs bust in North Lanarkshire
CID officers raided a property in Kilsyth on Thursday morning and found a quantity of cocaine and cannabis
Two men have been charged with drugs offences after drugs worth over £40,000 were seized during a police raid in North Lanarkshire.
Officers from Greater Glasgow CID executed a warrant at a property in Kilsyth at around 9.20am on Thursday.
A quantity of cannabis and cocaine was seized, with a combined estimated street value of around £41,000.
Two men, aged 49 and 25, have been arrested and charged for drugs offences in connection with the drugs that were seized, and a report will now be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
A cannabis cultivation was also discovered within the property and enquiries are ongoing into this
Detective Inspector Alan Ferguson, of Greater Glasgow CID, said: “We have arrested two men and our enquiries into the cultivation are ongoing. I would urge anyone with any information that could assist to contact us as soon as possible.
"Police Scotland is committed to disrupting the illicit supply of drugs in our communities and we will use every tool and tactic at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from our streets.
