Two people have been arrested after an incident in Clydebank left a man dead and another seriously injured in hospital.

Dozens of officers remained at the scene just off Kilbowie Road on Monday morning, with flowers left next to the Cleddans bar. Houses behind the row of shops are still cordoned off while police stand guard at the entrances to properties.

Emergency services were called to a report of a disturbance involving four people around 5.45pm on Sunday night.

Two men, aged 31 and 34, were rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries - but police say the 31 year-old died a short while later.

The 34 year-old man remains in hospital in a critical condition.

The victim has been named locally as Dom Brown - tributes on social media describe him as 'one in a million'.

A 45-year-old man and 38-year-old woman have been arrested.
