Man and woman arrested after robberies in Maryhill and Milngavie

The 23-year-old and 22-year-old accused are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court

Two people have been arrested and charged after multiple robberies in Glasgow.

A man and a woman targeted four stores in Maryhill and Milngavie between Saturday 11th and Monday 13th January.

Their three successful attempts on the Saturday were at stores on Sandbank Street and Bilsland Drive in Maryhill and South Mains Road, Milngavie.

The fourth robbery in a store on Douglas Street, Milngavie, the following Monday left them empty handed.

Clark Hill, from Glasgow CID, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank members of the public for their assistance with our investigation.”

The Detective Inspector added: “This type of behaviour will not be tolerated and the individuals involved will have to face the consequences of their actions.”

The 23-year-old and 22-year-old accused are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
