The boss of TRNSMT is telling Clyde 1 he is certain the festival will go ahead in 2021, despite a number of other major events being called off.
It is due to take place later than usual, from September 10-12.
Geoff Ellis, chief executive of DF Concerts, said: "We fully expect that we will be sticking to the re-opening date of August 9 in Scotland.
"With TRNSMT being an outdoor event, after August 9, we are very confident it will be going ahead as planned."
Scotland is due to remove most of the remaining Covid-19 restrictions on August 9.
Mr Ellis said: "Obviously it's disappointing to see some other festivals having to cancel, particularly those that were due to happen in July and early August."
Vaccine passports
His comments come as the First Minister says the Scottish Government is still considering whether to follow Westminster's lead on vaccine passports.
Speaking on Tuesday, Nicola Sturgeon insisted no decision has yet been reached.
From September, full-vaccination will be required for entry to nightclubs in England.
The First Minister said: "We haven't taken a decision on whether or not to require vaccine passports in any particular setting.
"That will be something we're considering over the next period.
"I've said many times before that while there are arguments for a requiring vaccination to allow entry to certain places, it raises sensitive ethical and equity considerations - not least because there are some people who can't get vaccinated because of health conditions and we are not yet in a position of having a recommendation to vaccinate all younger teenagers.
"So we've got to weigh up these things very carefully and while we're doing that we need to continue to be cautious.''
She added: "I think these issues need to be really carefully considered."
