Tributes for Falkirk woman who dies during gastric band surgery
Twenty-eight year-old Shannon Bowe from Denny passed away on Saturday.
Family members of Shannon Bowe from Falkirk are paying tribute to her on social media after she died while having a gastric band operation at the weekend in Turkey.
It's not known where she received the surgery or what complications resulted in her death.
Her boyfriend, Ross Stirling, wrote on Facebook: "Sleep tight my angel, love you forever and always.”
Her aunt Amanda Bowe posted: "My beautiful niece Shannon, there are no words, just heartbreak and grief.
"Life can be so cruel. She was a beautiful, funny, crazy girl who will always live in my heart. "You will be sorely missed."
Her friend Clare-Louise Farrell wrote: "the brightest spirit in the pub".
Her tribute reads: "Such a sad time to learn of the passing of such a beautiful young soul, Shannon Bowe."
