36-year old man to stand trial over death of Renfrew dad Paul Mathieson
Jamie Anderson pleaded not guilty to attacking the 37-year old in January this year
A man is to stand trial charged with murdering a dad in the street.
Jamie Anderson (36) is accused of attacking Paul Mathieson in Renfrew on January 14 this year.
The allegation includes claims Anderson punched, kicked and stamped on the 37 year-old's head and neck.
Mr Mathieson is said to have been left so severely injured he died six days later in hospital.
Anderson pleaded not guilty during a short hearing at the High Court in Glasgow today.
Lord Burns set a trial due to begin next March.
