Trawl door may have caused Nancy Glen to capsize

Thousands of pounds have been raised to recover the bodies of two fishermen who died when their boat capsized on Loch Fyne last week.

It could take weeks or even months to raise the Nancy Glen and it is believed two of the three crew may still be in the wreck, in a part of the sea loch, which is one hundred and 43 meters deep.

Initial indications are the boat capsized when a trawl door got stuck on the sea bed.

An online appeal to raise funds for the families of the lost crew and for the recovery effort has broken it's £70,000 target in just over a day.

A third man, John Miller, was pulled from the water alive and raised the alarm, but search and rescue crews were unable to reach the wreck to recover the other two men.
