Traffic lights out busy junction in the west end of Glasgow
There's no timescale on the repair work
The traffic lights at one of the busiest junctions in the west end of Glasgow have failed, with no indication of when they will be fixed.
Drivers were alerted at around 13.30 on Friday 17th that the lights at the junction of Great Western Road at its junction with Byres Road and Queen Margaret Drive had been turned off.
Traffic officials from Glasgow City Council say the there has been a major underground cable fault at the junction.
Contractors will be brought in to carry out repairs.
No time has been given for when the traffic lights will be back in use with a statement from the Council advising motorists they will remain off until further notice.
