Mass being held to mark 10th anniversary of death of Tommy Burns
The Celtic legend - a former player and manager - died aged 51 in 2008
Ten years since his death, a mass is being held in Glasgow to remember Celtic legend Tommy Burns.
Friends, family and supporters will gather at St Mary's Church in the Calton at 7pm on Tuesday 15th to remember the former player and manager, who died of skin cancer aged 51 on 15 May 2008.
The church on Abercromby Street is where the funeral mass to celebrate Tommy's life originally took place.
Celtic Graves Society marked the 10th anniversary of his death at his graveside at Linn Cemetery in Castlemilk on Saturday, where club chief executive Peter Lawwell, manager Brendan Rodgers and former Hoops boss Gordon Strachan all spoke.
Hundreds of supporters, as well as Tommy's wife Rosemary and children Emma, Jenna and Michael, gathered at the event.
Burns was diagnosed with skin cancer in 2006, and it appeared he had beaten the disease until it returned months before he died.
